GCF Statements of Beliefs

  1. Almighty God, eternally existent as the creator and sustainer of the universe and the Father of all who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.

  1. The Lord Jesus Christ, as the only begotten Son of the Almighty God, Redeemer of all mankind. The one mediator between God and man, through faith, in whom we also obtain forgiveness of sins.

  1. The unity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit as three persons in one.

  1. The guilt and depravity of human nature in consequence of the fall. The necessity of conversion, regeneration and sanctification in the believer.

  1. The substitutionary death of our Lord Jesus Christ and His resurrection as the only way of salvation from sin and death through faith in Him.

  1. The Divine inspiration and supreme authority of the Holy Scriptures. For this purpose the Divine inspiration of the Holy Scriptures is to be taken as meaning God breathed. While no attempt is made to define the method of inspiration, such inspiration results in the languages which are the Word of God - The Bible. Thus the Scriptures are the Word of God by virtue of their inspiration and do not merely become so in the context of human experience.

  1. The necessity of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit through the New Birth, the subsequent work of the Holy Spirit and the Gifts of the Holy Spirit and grace are in the believer for ministry of a Charismatic nature. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit produces sanctification in the life of the believer as he yields to Christ Jesus.

  1. The incarnation, death, resurrection, ascension and personal return in glory of the Lord Jesus Christ.

“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

John 8 v 32
